What is the building capacity?

What dates are available?

How do I book a wedding date?

To reserve a date please text or call us us at 330-464-8846 or email us at help@willowhaveneventcenter.com saying you are ready to book. Dates are reserved on a first come, first served basis, and you must have requested information and taken a tour. You can Request Information here, and at the bottom of the email you receive will be a link to book the tour!

Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?

We kindly request that all tours are by appointment only. You can request information by clicking here and filling out the form. You will receive the information and link to book the tour in your email within 60 seconds!

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

  • The Holiday Inn Express is 2.5 miles away and offers bulk room rates.  You can visit the website here for the Holiday Inn Express.
  • The Hampton Inn is also 2.5 miles away and offers bulk room rates as well.  You can visit the website here for the Hampton Inn.

Will there be more than one wedding per day at the venue?

 At Willow Haven we only host one wedding each day to ensure that each couple's event is special and receives our full attention.

Do you offer different sizes and shapes of tables?

Yes, we have 6 foot and 8 foot rectangular tables and 5 foot round tables. This gives you lots of possibilities for table layouts depending on your guest count.

What happens in the case of rain at Willow Haven Event Center?

We have an awesome space directly under the main barn floor that has its own vibe and can be used as a ceremony space or as a cocktail hour space. We just need a 2 hour notice of your intent to change ceremony location because of weather and we will have it ready for your guests arrival!

If we have our ceremony/reception offsite - does that change the price?

Because we only host one event per day, our price remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception, or both onsite.

My date isn't available - do you have a waiting list?

 We do not keep a waiting list because cancellations are unpredictable. As soon as a date does become available we post it on our Available Dates page here.

Do you allow pets to participate in the ceremony at Willow Haven?

We are definitely pet friendly, with some specific stipulations. Pets are allowed at the ceremony and pictures. All pets, other than service animals, are NOT allowed under roof or near food. Pets must be on a leash or in a crate and someone must be responsible for them other than the bride and groom.

When is the next Open House?

Open Houses are for booked couples and they happen weekly on different weekdays and times so that we can accommodate couples with different work schedules. We only allow 5 couples at a time per Open House date/time so that we can provide as much individual attention as possible!

What happens at an Open House at Willow Haven?

We own our table linens in 5 colors and over 80 different runner/napkin colors, as well as over 3,000 pieces of decor. When you schedule an Open House, you will get your own table and spend the time completely decorating your table using our decor. When you are done, we will take a picture and put it into your portal and on your wedding day - we will decorate every table just as you did during the Open House! We make your wedding day your way and it just might be the most fun you have planning!

What time do you suggest we start our wedding ceremony?

We suggest starting Friday weddings at 5:00 pm, Saturday/Sunday weddings between 2:00 - 4:30 pm. Should your wedding be taking place after the fall time change, you will definitely want to take that into consideration to allow for plenty of time for outdoor pictures.

How will the tables and chairs be setup for my specific guest count?

We have created a custom wedding portal for our couples. In this portal there is a form that shows the different table layout options of the wedding barn! You get to choose what you would like based on the options displayed in that form. We can make changes to nearly every option shown in the form based on your specific desires and guest count.

Can we have fireworks on the property?

For insurance and safety reasons, fireworks are never allowed on the property.

Can we have a sparkler send off?

Sparkler send off's are allowed but must be handled by the Willow Haven staff. There are no exceptions for this and the sparkler send off MUST be included on all planning forms in the portal so we can have proper and adequate staff. The sparklers must be at least 20 inches in length.

Can vehicles be left overnight in the parking lot?

Yes, we want your guests to be safe and responsible if they are consuming alcohol. We require that all vehicles that are left be picked up no later than 11 am the next day. 

What time does the music need to end and the bar close?

The music must end by 11 pm and guests must leave at that time. The bar starts to close at 10:30 with final drinks being served at 10:45 pm.

Are candles allowed?

Candles are not allowed anywhere on the property.

What is required to clean up at Willow Haven at the end of the wedding?

We want to make your whole day as easy and stress free as possible! We only require you to remove your personal items from both suites before you leave at the end of the wedding day. All cleanup and setup is handled by the staff of Willow Haven Event Center!

Can we nail decorations to the walls or beams or hang things from them?

The original barn was built in the 1850's in Wadsworth, Ohio where it stood until our family painstakingly took it down by removing the wooden pegs and marked every wooden piece so that it could be moved and reassembled at its current location in Wooster. We do not allow any nails, tacks, staples, pins, screws or anything that must pierce the surface of the wood. There are specific areas where we have made adjustments so that things can be hung - behind the head table is one example of this!

Do I have to have a licensed caterer at Willow Haven?

We highly suggest a professional caterer be hired to handle the food for your wedding day. We do understand that sometimes that is cost prohibitive, and we do allow you to bring your own food or have it prepared by a family member. We have specific rules that govern what is allowed and how it must be handled so that dinner time can flow as seamless as possible. Please speak with a Team Leader regarding the necessary arrangements.

How do I obtain a marriage license?

Marriage license in Ohio can be obtained at any county Probate Office, usually located near the county courthouse. The marriage license is only good for 60 days, so you cannot obtain it earlier than 60 days from your wedding date, so plan accordingly!
